Human trafficking is not a distant issue — it's happening in our cities, schools, massage parlors, and neighborhoods. In Texas alone, over 300,000 people are estimated to be victims of trafficking, including 79,000 children. Houston, one of the nation's largest trafficking hubs, sees thousands pass through invisible systems of exploitation every year.
As grant funding and public resources for anti-trafficking initiatives face significant cuts, grassroots and nonprofit organizations are being forced to do more with less.

We stand with all communities — survivors of all genders, races, and backgrounds — and we place a special spotlight on LGBTQ+ populations, who are disproportionately targeted by traffickers. Studies show that up to 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+, and many are coerced into trafficking after being rejected by family or aging out of foster care.

Our vision is a world free from human trafficking, where every individual has access to justice, support, and opportunity. PJTI Research and Advocacy Group envisions a society that addresses systemic vulnerabilities, ensuring dignity and security in the face of adversity.
Our research areas include biotechnology, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and renewable energy. We work with an interdisciplinary team of experts to conduct research that has a significant impact on society.
